Manasquan,It all Begins with a Place

Manasquan

Having lived in Manasquan my entire life, this charming coastal town holds a special place in my heart. With my family here, my first job on the beach, and dreams of raising my own family in this community, it feels only fitting to start my travel journey with the place that has shaped me.

Manasquan is a small town, about a mile long, nestled along the New Jersey coast. Since its founding in 1887, it has been home to a few thousand residents, and it’s easy to see why. The centerpiece of our town is the beautiful Manasquan Beach—a mile-long stretch of sand that lines the Atlantic Ocean. Having my first job here has deepened my appreciation for all the joys this town offers; it truly embodies the essence of a perfect beach destination.

Another highlight of Manasquan is our charming Main Street, the town's heartbeat. Strolling down this picturesque avenue, you’ll find a delightful mix of shops, restaurants, diners, and delis. Start with Squan Tavern a local staple since 1964 where you can enjoy classic Jersey-style bar pizza,. Just a short walk away is The Committed Pig, a newer favorite of mine, known for its creative twists on beloved New Jersey classics.

After dinner, satisfy your sweet tooth at Main Scoop, located right across the street. And if you’re an early riser, don’t miss Batch, or Sunburst Pie company where you can grab a fresh cup of coffee to kickstart your day.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident or just passing through, Manasquan offers the perfect blend of small-town charm and coastal beauty. Come experience it for yourself—you might just fall in love with this special place, just as I have!
